This Privacy Policy covers the Hermes SMS service operated by T.W. Hudson, including internal system notifications and assistant replies.
Information we collect and why
We collect your mobile number, SMS opt-in and opt-out records, messages you send to Hermes, and message delivery information such as timestamps and delivery status. We use this information to send the system notifications and assistant replies you request, manage your messaging preferences, provide support, and maintain the service.
SMS consent
You opt in by providing your mobile number and expressly agreeing to receive Hermes SMS messages. Providing a number alone does not constitute consent. We use your consent only for the Hermes messaging program you agreed to. Consent is voluntary and is not a condition of purchase.
Your mobile number and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from any other data-sharing categories and will not be shared with third parties or affiliates.
Message frequency and charges
Message frequency varies based on system activity and your requests to the assistant. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt out and get help
Reply STOP to any Hermes SMS message to cancel further SMS communications. You may receive a final confirmation of your opt-out. Reply HELP for assistance, or email t.hudson@twhudson.dev.
Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as needed to operate the service, handle your requests, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Consent and opt-out records may be retained to document your choices and prevent unwanted messages. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your information, subject to applicable retention requirements.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including restricting access to authorized personnel. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Please do not send passwords, payment information, or other sensitive information by SMS.
